Even though I don't want to and it makes me nervous.
Even though I'm afraid that people will make fun of me.
Even though I don't know what I'm doing.
I'm pressing forward. No retreat. This is the year of onward and upward.
I'm gonna live life like I've got a bee in my bonnet.
Many of you may have heard of a thing called "P365," a project that requires participants to take a picture every single day for a whole year and share them on Flickr with other people who are doing the same. I was intrigued by this concept, but worried about the 365 day commitment...I take a load of pictures, folks, but there are VERY FEW things that I do 365 days a year.
However, the other day, I stumbled across something different at Life With My 3 Boybarians. Darcy has started a "P52" in which you take one picture a WEEK! I love it. She says its for lazy people, which I qualify for, and so that you end up with 52 great pictures, rather than 365 pictures of your socks or something.
I signed up.
Lots of the people who are doing this take great pictures.
I can't really work my camera that well.
This is gonna make me work harder at my photography skills.
It's going to push me to take more thoughtful pictures and learn how to be a better editor.
I'm apprehensive...to say the least.
Here's my first picture of the year for P52.
I call this one, "Dog Feet"
I'm just kidding. I dont' call it anything. It's just our life.
It's a weird picture, but I'm so glad I had my camera to catch this because it cracks me up. Jack was snoozing on the couch in between us while I watched 24 and David typed a test for school. He's not usually allowed on the couch, but sometimes I get cold and he's a good snuggler.
Are you ready for 52 weeks of dog feet?
Bring it, 2011!
At the end of the year, hopefully, I'm going to make a little photo book out of all the weekly pictures for 2011. A year in photos. We'll see how it goes.
I may post the picture of the week on the blog, too. I'm not sure yet. It depends on how boring things get around here.
You could join P52, too. Maybe some of you already have? It's going to be fun.
I joined an Internet group.
Because, blogging doesn't make me nerdy enough.
